For those of you who have never served in the US Military this video may have little or no impact on you. If such is the case then you deserve my pity. For those of you whom this video does significantly impact then you will understand why we who served or are still serving do what we do. You will understand the pride we have for our country and for those with whom we serve alongside in peacetime and war. 45+ Years later these Marines came home. The Islanders buried these 19 Marines with honor and the one old Islander who was a teenager then proudly honored them one last time before they departed his Island. Words will never be enough for the honor bestowed upon our fallen Marines by the people of Makin Atoll.
